In His Presence

"You have made known to me the paths of life; you fill me with joy in your presence." Acts 2:28 I have decided to start a blog because I have been finding so many other blogs so inspiring over the last few days. Hopefully, this one will be inspiring to you!

God's Grace is Sufficient. . .

So while I was home this summer I had the opportunity to preach about a sermon called, "What's so Amazing about God's Grace Anyway?" I don't know but for many years I heard people use the word "grace" in church and I was never really certain if the people actually knew what it meant. I really felt God leading me to research God's Grace. I kept being led to the book of Ephesians where grace is mentioned many times.

Well, the topic of God's grace keeps coming to me. God's grace will never seek to amaze me. We are so undeserving of His love and forgiveness and mercy and the list could go on and on, but he so willingly gives us this undeserved favors and merits. WOW!

Recently I started reading Philip Yancey's Book, "What's so Amazing About Grace?" and it really intrigues me.

But in the past three months I have come to discover that God's grace is sufficient... that God's grace always appears when we most need it.

For example, the other day I needed groceries. So I headed to Safeway after an appointment to buy groceries. (I love SAFEWAY... it is so relaxing.) On the way there I discovered that I never had one cent of change. I was hurting and I knew that there was no way that I would be able to lift around a basket.

Well, when I stopped... there was a cart that I did not have to pay for. That was a real blessing. I have never seen an available cart in the parking lot since coming here but when I really needed it, it was there. I went in bought my groceries, and then the grocer offered to bring out my groceries. I was so happy.
When I got home to my surprise I was greeted with someone who helped me bring up my groceries. The person felt God telling them to go meet me when I came in with the van. I was forever thankful that they listened. You see that was God's grace for me. God knew that I needed Him right at that moment and He provided.

So yes, I would have to say that God's grace appears when you most need it. I have encountered God's grace many times and I am thankful that I am able to say that I am a sinner saved by grace. I wish other people could recognize the grace of God in their lives.

"God, teach me to share your grace with others. Teach me to always be aware of your work of grace around me. May I always be grateful to you. Amen"
