Summer 2007 Update...
July 1st-8th:
I was at the Moravian Youth Camp for teenagers ages 13-15 in Goose Bay. Russell planned the camp and did a great job running it under God's guidance! It was a week full of much fun and good laughs. I think my favourite part was the campfires. They were a lot of fun and the campers seemed to enjoy it. I also liked watching the soccer game or should I say football game that we had against the Goose Bay All Stars out in Goose Bay. It was cool watching the campers work together as a team especially since they had never played with one another. I also met some wonderful Christian leaders while I was at camp and I am glad that I had that opportunity. It was also great to minister to the campers. The campers were all great and as the week went on it was so nice to each of them open up more and more. God is GOOD!
July 8th:
I got in St. John's at 3:30, got my luggage at 3:50, left the airport at 4:00, got in my driveway at 5:00, grabbed a quick shower, got in the car at 5:20, was in Whitbourne by 5:40 to play in the band for church. I was so happy!
July 9th - present:
I have been relaxing and packing at home with my mom! (My dad will be home on July 30th!)
I am also helping with VBS at church. This week we have been in the "CONSTRUCTION ZONE" and it has been a whole lot of fun! There has been 50 or more kids at VBS each day. Tomorrow night we have our final program and we get to sing 5 of our songs. It will be a whole lot of fun. It has been a great week learning about Jesus and the love He has for each of us!
My cousins are home too which is nice. So I'll get to see them for a bit!
The plan for the rest of the summer...
From July 27th - August 4th: I go to Music Camp! THis will be wonderful I am sure. I'll get to play for different vocalists, and play for a choir. Maybe, I'll get to play in the band too! It will be good... I am not a counsellor this year so I'll be staying in a cabin with some leaders.
My things arrive from Lewisporte sometime before July 31st... then they will be picked up by a Moving company on August 3rd to go to Winnipeg.
From the 5th to the 26th I will be relaxing at home in Dildo. I am doing the church services on Sunday, August 19th... if you are in the area, come along! On the 27th at 6:00 in the morning I will be on a plane flying to Winnipeg... 38 sleeps from today! It is all very exciting!
Anyway, for now I think I might go put on a movie. I haven't watched a movie all week!
