In His Presence

"You have made known to me the paths of life; you fill me with joy in your presence." Acts 2:28 I have decided to start a blog because I have been finding so many other blogs so inspiring over the last few days. Hopefully, this one will be inspiring to you!

Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine!

It is 10:48 right now. . . I should be getting ready for bed but as I sat at the piano for the last half hour playing and singing different songs such as People Need the Lord, Broken and Spilled Out, I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb, and finally Blessed Assurance, God has been REALLY speaking to me. As I sang the chorus of Blessed Assurance which reads: This my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long, tears trickled down my face.

I kept thinking about my time in Makkovik and how God spoke to me while I was there in the stillness of His universe. I also remember the first time this song was sung in a church service... it was the first song that I had heard there that I actually knew and that song was just placed on my heart from there on end. Many a time I would walk home from church in Makkovik in the crisp air, in the solitude and simplicity of life, and this song would be going through my head, I would pray and allow God's Spirit to penetrate deep within. And as I sit here tonight I allow God to do the same.

I am so thankful that God had a plan for me while I was in Makkovik. He used that isolated community on the North Coast of Labrador to teach me who I was as a person, who I was as a Christian, and who I was as a child of God. He gave me insights into ministry in small communities and Aboriginal settings. He showed me how to focus upward. He taught me how to be REAL! I am so thankful to God tonight for everything He had done in my life!

Moments like these are wonderful!

My prayer tonight is this: That God would continue speaking to me while I am here at CFOT, that God would continue to guide my life and continue to lead me in the direction He would want me to go in my ministry.

And I have a prayer request that I want you to pray for:
The Moravian Church in Labrador is still seeking ministers for the three churches in Nain, Hopedale, and Makkovik. This is been happening since April. Please make this a matter of prayer. They have been without ministers in their churches for a very long time. Let's pray for this.

Have a great Spirit-filled evening and continue to allow God to work in your life!

God Bless,
Rebecca
